Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Description

The role of a Clinical Medical Assistant is to provide care and education to patients, following established standards and practices. You will update patient charts in EMR systems, document changes, and coordinate with other members of the care team to ensure seamless care delivery, maximal coordination of efforts, and active patient participation in planning and care. Additionally, you will be responsible for restocking rooms.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and education to patients in accordance with established standards and practices.

• Update and maintain patient charts in EMR systems.

• Document changes in patient conditions and treatments.

• Coordinate with other members of the care team to ensure seamless care delivery and maximal coordination of efforts.

• Encourage and ensure active patient participation in planning and care.

• Restock examination and treatment rooms as needed.

• Experience with NextGen, Epic, EMR, and patient access systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least one year of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting, or graduate of an accredited medical assistant program

• Proven track record of prior stable employment and/or favorable references

Work Environment

You will be working in various specialties including OBGYN, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, and Dermatology. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The dress code is scrubs. Specific work environments include Dermatology (Mt. Kisco), Cardiology (Mt. Kisco with travel to Fishkill once a week), Urology (Mt. Kisco), and Neurology (Thornwood). Internal Medicine shifts are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM in Croton, NY. There are no holiday or vacation shifts, but sick time is available. Career growth opportunities are available with over 40 different locations within the medical group, and there is potential for obtaining new skills in over 40 different specialties. Employees may become eligible for tuition reimbursement and other benefits once they become permanent.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00
