You will be joining an elite team with a startup feel, while also having the benefit of a vast network of experienced resources at your fingertips.

As an Excavation Planning Architect, you will be responsible for reconciling disparate requirements into a uniform planning solution through the outline the technical trade-offs between various sub-system domain spaces and down selecting of optimal solution paths to meet the customer requirements. In this role you will also be able to refine your ability to lead through influence and explore your passion for technology, customers and innovative products. You will collaborate with a global, multi-disciplinary team to develop and execute business initiatives.

Responsibilities

Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects to deliver on excavation planning routines to achieve autonomy objectives.

Define and manage system requirements, interfaces, and high-level architecture decisions and tradeoffs for the planning architecture.

Work with functional safety team to manage safety case development and validation process

Review deliverables from 3rd party suppliers to ensure system-level requirements are met

Provide the team with technical leadership and contribute technically to projects

Collaborate with product team, other engineering leaders, and key stakeholders to lead the team to execute on goals

Use your experience to advise and improve on development process and practices

Basic Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in an accredited Robotics, Electrical or Computer engineering or Computer Science degree

15+ years of experience in Industrial Machine Performance and Control solution development illustrating deep technical domain expertise

3+ years of Robotics/Autonomous solution experience with hands-on technical leadership

Top Candidates will also have

Strong understanding of software engineering principles and processes along with the ability to apply this knowledge to execute projects and optimize development strategies

Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects

Additional Information

The location for this position is Mossville IL, Aurora IL, Pittsburgh PA, or San Francisco CA

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate

This position may require less than 10% travel
