Big Bend Community College Vice President for Administrative Services in Moses Lake, Washington
Position Summary
Big Bend Community College (BBCC), a rural college serving vibrant, culturally rich communities in the Columbia Basin of Central Washington invites applications for a Vice-President of Administrative Services. The VP for Administrative Services plays a critical role in the financial management and strategic growth of the college.
This position is responsible for all administrative, financial, and fiscal management aspects of the college's operations. The college expends approximately $40 million, annually. This position will provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, finance and budgeting work of the college with a focus on the student experience and opportunities for generating revenue. The VP will provide critical financial insight and strategic support to the President and Board of Trustees. Primary responsibilities include oversight of the financial and administrative operations for the college, which includes accounting, finance, capital planning, construction, risk management, physical plant facilities/operations, debt management, property management, purchasing, residence halls, conference services, and childcare services.
In addition, to overseeing traditional financial functions, this position is expected to take an entrepreneurial approach to identifying and pursuing new revenue streams and expanding auxiliary services. The ideal candidate will have a forward-thinking mindset, seeking opportunities to innovate and optimize financial performance while aligning with the institution's mission and goals.
The individual in this position will provide leadership in evaluating administrative programs, service levels and impact on college operations with an eye on the student experience; identify opportunities for improvement and implement actions to strengthen services to students and the campus community. The individual in this position may be asked to assume the duties of the President in their absence.
