Big Bend Community College TRiO Upward Bound Academic Advisor in Moses Lake, Washington

Position Summary

Big Bend Community College (BBCC), a rural college serving vibrant, culturally rich communities in the Columbia Basin of Central Washington invites applications for an Academic Advisor in the college's TRiO Upward Bound Department.  

Join our dynamic team at Big Bend Community College! We are seeking a dedicated individual for a full-time, grant-funded, 12-month position with our renowned Upward Bound Program. This federal TRIO program, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, empowers first-generation and low-income students to develop the skills needed for college enrollment and success.

Since 1967, Big Bend Community College has proudly hosted TRIO Upward Bound, making it the longest-running program of its kind in Washington State. Each year, we impact the lives of 115 high school students from Moses Lake High School, Othello High School, Royal High School, and Warden High School.

This is a full-time, 12-month, grant-funded position. This position is dependent upon continued grant funding.  

Under the supervision of the TRIO Upward Bound Director, the Academic Advisor will provide vital academic and personal advising to our participants year-round. Your guidance will be crucial in ensuring their successful completion of high school and their journey toward earning a two or four-year college degree.
