The Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC) at the University of Idaho provides comprehensive mental health services, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, psychiatric services and psychological assessments. The center emphasizes personal development, wellness and treatment through a brief therapy model. It also offers alcohol and drug programming, Biofeedback programming. and outreach and consultative services. The CMHC is also home to an APA-accredited doctoral internship in professional psychology.

The University of Idaho Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC) is seeking a masters level Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This key position will provide leadership in case management services for students, with a focus on coordinating mental health care, suicide prevention, and community outreach. The Case Manager will work closely with clinicians, local providers, and campus partners to ensure continuity of care for students with high acuity mental health needs. The Case Manager will also coordinate referrals to community providers, lead outreach programs, and consult with CMHC staff on complex cases.
Clinical responsibilities include initial evaluations, on-call urgent and crisis care coverage, individual therapy, group therapy. Licensed practitioners may also have an opportunity to supervise trainees or other staff.
This position requires a strong foundation in social work or mental health counseling, experience managing high-acuity cases, and experience in community mental health coordination. The ideal candidate will have a passion for student well-being, a collaborative spirit, and a desire to contribute to the mental health mission of the University of Idaho.

- Experience providing mental health services to adult population
- Experience providing mental health services to a diverse client population
- Clinical experience providing risk assessment, crisis interventions and brief counseling
rrRequired Education:

- Masters Degree in Social Work
- Masters Degree in counseling or clinical psychology

rrAdditional Preferred:

- Licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho
- Experience providing counseling or other psychological services in a language other than English
- Experience providing treatment for psychological trauma
- Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Experience with the assessment and treatment of substance use disorders
- Experience in working with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
