An exciting Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) work opportunity, located in Morton Grove, IL. Assist in the development of a new Finance Organization! This role will be primarily responsible for providing financial expertise and business analysis with a focus on creating impressive PowerBI reports, Customer Contracts and managing the ongoing process to ensure Revenue Recognition is correct and complete. Contributes to the development and implementation of business team priorities by participating in joint issue identification, analysis, and resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain financial and operational reports in PowerBI to provide insight into key business drivers and guide priorities

  • Perform advanced analytics to better understand the critical drivers of our business and develop financial models to support the analysis of results.

  • Perform periodic analysis to ensure results are in line with targets and work with leaders across the organization to develop actions to close any gaps.

  • Support the economic analysis of various critical and strategic decisions being pursued within the company, primarily focusing on pricing of commercial contracts and the pro forma modeling to assess alternatives and present recommendations.

  • Address issues with appropriate teams to develop a plan of action. Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to improve processes and practices. Work with business and functional teams to develop consistent management reporting and processes.

  • Develop a partnership between Finance and the Functional Areas (Operations, Logistics, IT, Procurement) to foster a collaborative network to understand the pain points, cost drivers, and provide recommendations to manage costs/projects/initiatives including measuring productivity.

  • Bring a mind-set of continuous improvement to the organization to develop more efficient and better ways to achieve our business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience in an analytical role in finance, accounting, business management, data analytics, statistics, computer science or economics preferred

  • At least 1 year of experience in applying analytics principles (Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Business Management, Economics or Finance).

  • Intermediate Data Visualization Skills Required in Power BI, or SQL or Tableau, or Snowflake.

  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel modeling and financial business modeling are strongly preferred.

  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint or data visualization tools to communicate complex ideas to non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to piece together different bits of data for analysis

  • Take ownership and be adaptive to the fast-paced nature of the business to manage priorities and pivot as those priorities or scope change.

  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

  • Curiosity to understand the intricacies of the business and how things work.
