Overview

Responsible for supporting the administration and implementation of the company’s compensation programs. Conducts compensation analyses; prepares and maintains written job descriptions; completes job evaluations, including market pricing; and assists with salary and incentive plan administration.

Responsibilities

Compensation Administration and Implementation:

• Completes and maintains salary survey data

• Evaluates jobs, prepares market reference ranges; documents responsibilities in job descriptions; responds to inquiries regarding job evaluations, market reference ranges and market competitiveness

• Supports the annual increase processes for the organization

• Assists with incentive plan administration, including development and implementation across the organization, calculation of monthly, quarterly, and annual incentives

• Collaborate with Finance to ensure accruals are established for incentive plan payouts

• Develop and maintain compensation databases, market reference range database, etc.

• Supports update and maintenance of data within HRIS system related to compensation

• Assists with modeling, costing and analysis of compensation programs; prepares metrics regarding the same

• Participates in special projects as needed, including acquisitions/affiliations

• Assists in creation and maintenance of employee recognition and reward programs

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR related field

• Two to four years of experience administering compensation programs

• Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Etc.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting compensation programs

• Must be able to research and handle confidential information in a discretionary fashion

• Knowledge of plan documents and administrative procedures to ensure compliance within federal and state regulations

• Demonstrated analytical skills

• Strong written and verbal communications skills required

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

• Excellent technical skills with working knowledge and understanding of HRIS systems; compensation and benefits administration systems

• Knowledge and ability to research updates surrounding benefits and compensation

• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and integrity of personal and company data

• Work style: has a high bias for action, is highly organized, and able to focus on results even within a fluid working environment
