Description

We are offering a fully remote long-term contract employment opportunity for a Software Engineer. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing the customer experience on our existing products, designing and developing software features, and working collaboratively with multiple product teams. The role will also involve gaining visibility between our organization and customers to proactively diagnose and prevent issues.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software features to enhance customer experience on existing products

• Collaborate with various product teams across the organization

• Work closely with the Customer Experience Engineering team to improve visibility between the organization and its customers

• Learn and adapt to new code bases and processes quickly

• Communicate effectively with team members and external business entities

• Develop software in a variety of programming languages including Python, Go, Java, and C/C++

• Troubleshoot and resolve networking setup issues

• Work in a Linux environment

• Maintain a strong understanding of virtualization technologies including Virtual Machines and Containerization/Docker

• Continuously learn new concepts, technologies, and security practices.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Software Engineering field

• Must have Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation experience.

• Proficient in backend development and have a solid understanding of software engineering principles

• Have expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, and Go

• Strong knowledge of Linux operating system is essential

• Experience with Virtual Machines and Containerization is required

• Must have hands-on experience with Docker

• Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting is required

• Must be capable of working in a team environment and also independently when required

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required

• Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong documentation skills are required

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is desirable

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes quickly

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are essential.
