Description and Requirements
Job Responsibilities (Essential functions and duties):
The successful candidate will provide advisory support for inbound patent licensing matters from assertion to conclusion, interacting with patent holders, managing legal, technical, and business analyses, negotiating NDA’s and contracts, collaborating with internal and outside counsel, specific subject matter experts, technology experts, business analysts, and company clients.
Job Requirements –Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies(KSAC’s):
Knowledge of patent licensing
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple matters simultaneously
Demonstrated business acumen, strong analytical skills, the ability to grasp important business issues and drive to results
Strong communication and presentation skills are to explain legal matters to business leaders in a manner that supports well-informed business decisions
Ability to work with business and communicate effectively with business and technical leaders
The candidate should demonstrate an ability to thrive in a large, global environment while coordinating the efforts of an outside counsel network within limited budgets
Job Requirements – Prior work experience
- A minimum of 8 years of legal experience including Patent Licensing and NDA’s.
Job Preferences – Prior work experience
Claim chart analysis
Licensing agreement drafting and negotiating
Knowledge of SEP’s
Technical knowledge of wireless communications and/or codecs
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in science and technology (preferably majoring in Communications, Electrical, or Computer Engineering) with strong academic credentials
Passed the patent bar
Educational Preferences:
- J.D. Degree
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional domestic and international travel
The base salary budgeted range for this position is $160,000 - $195,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found onwww.lenovobenefits.com.
