As an IT Asset Management Subject Matter Expert, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to final disposition, ensuring optimal utilization and security. This candidate will work closely with leadership to develop and refine asset management strategies, policies, and processes aligned with our business objectives.

This role includes solving complex problems with innovative solutions, managing IT asset tracking systems, and providing expertise in application selection and system development. This candidate will drive process improvements, enhance data integrity, and present metrics and reports to leadership.

responsibilities:

  • Oversees lifecycle asset management tasks, projects, activities, and engagements for the program.

  • Serves as an IT asset management subject matter expert.

  • Collaborates with leadership to develop and enhance lifecycle asset management strategies, company policies, and processes that align with program and customer business objectives.

  • Analyzes new and complex lifecycle asset management problems and creates innovative solutions addressing schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management.

  • Manages the tracking of acquisition, deployment, utilization, security, and final disposition of IT assets.

  • Supports ITAM systems analysis and provides subject matter expertise for long- and short-range plans for lifecycle asset management, including application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities.

  • Assists in developing and implementing effective procedures and processes for accurately tracking and accounting for IT assets throughout the asset lifecycle.

  • Supports optimization, usage, and cost of IT hardware and software deployments.

  • Contributes to the development of processes and procedures to enhance IT asset data integrity and compliance.

  • Drives process improvements with lifecycle asset management best practices and automation.

  • Develops and presents IT asset management metrics, visualizations, and reports to leadership.

  • Conducts regular audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of asset data.

  • Provides recommendations for cost savings, risk reduction, and efficiency improvements related to IT asset management.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with IT asset management and configuration management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, SNOW).

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • strong teamwork and leadership skills to motivate various groups to meet their responsibilities within a given timeframe.

  • Understanding of banking regulatory frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, and FFIEC.

  • Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to analyze large volumes of data.

  • Experience with statistical analysis software, demonstrating the ability to analyze and present data to management.

  • Experience in IT procurement and project management.

  • Understanding of cloud concepts and cloud service models.

  • strong oral and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle pressure.

  • Ability to see structure and bring order to undefined or poorly defined processes, as well as develop and implement processes.

  • Extensive experience with software management, including contract and entitlement management.

Required Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in IT asset management and configuration management.

  • ITIL Foundations V4 certification and ITAM professional certification (e.g., CHAMP, CITAM), or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of starting the position.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.

  • ITIL 4 Specialist: IT Asset Management, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
