Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): New Jersey

The Digital Strategist position is responsible for planning, developing, publishing, and managing strategic digital content and marketing campaigns that drive revenue and support the goal and objectives of CIT Bank, a division of First Citizens Bank. Supports product and program launches and enhancements with clear and concise content that resonates across the Bank's digital media channels. Provides conceptual content ideas and produces content assets that attract and compel engagement from customers and prospects across earned and paid platforms. Serves as a resource to department and senior staff partners on digital standards and best practices. Ensures compliance with regulatory governance for all marketing initiatives.


Responsibilities
  • Digital Asset Management- Conceives, creates, and publishes digital assets to support CIT Bank objectives. Performs audits and analyses to ensure the assets and content are aligned with brand and business goals. Uses analytics to monitor content and develop reporting to represent performance against plan. Researches and maintains a strong current knowledge of consumer and market trends and changing conditions to shift design and content focus accordingly.
  • Project Management - Leads and supports marketing projects focusing on content development, design and user experience that align with the Bank's goals and client-centered approaches. Makes recommendations on new content ideas, discuss the progress of current campaigns, and review the results of previous content campaigns. Maintains project budgets to include submitting estimates, and projecting return on investment ensuring all projects are completed within budget constraints. Monitors and analyzes marketing expenses to determine overall cost-effectiveness.
  • Marketing - Cultivates digital marketing content targeted at driving traffic, engagement, generating deposits for CIT Bank. Works with internal and external collaborators and creative resources to deliver content assets that reflect the Bank's program goals and brand standards. Tests and implements methods of measuring content, campaigns, and tools. Conducts competitor assessments and best practices analysis in support of projects.
  • Collaboration - Works closely with CIT Bank team and agencies to ensure assets align with CIT Bank's goals and objectives, standards, specifications, and branding. Communicates with department peers and senior staff segments to develop programs and ensure accuracy in all marketing and client-facing materials. Effectively manages the expectations of all audiences. Effectively maintains a good balance of confidence and humility in all situations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Digital, Information Technology or Marketing, or Interaction design

OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Digital, Information Technology or Marketing, or Interaction design

Required Area of Experience: Digital Marketing

Preferred Area of Study: Marketing

Preferred Areas of Experience:

  • Financial Services Industry including online-only banking
  • Current knowledge of digital content and marketing trends in the online banking industry
  • Demonstrated experience in creating, maintaining and expanding customer-journey marketing programs
  • Experience establishing and managing creative digital assets to support customer journey marketing programs
  • Experience with Adobe Tech stack including Journey Optimizer
  • Experience driving audience segmentation, optimization, and budget management for search and display marketing
  • Experience forecasting channel performance and ensuring positive KPls through data analysis and trend identification
  • Expereince developing, updating, and testing creative assets (Search copy, Display ads, Landing Pages) in partnership with creative agency within the Adobe platform
  • Ability to assess business opportunities and develop content strategies with a focus on financial implications
  • Ability to understand risk and compliance implications within marketing strategy projects and campaigns
  • Ability to utilize a customer-centric mindset and design approach
  • Ability to deploy a customer-centric mindset and approach to digital marketing campaigns and projects
