The Sales Recruiter is responsible for developing, leading, and executing the recruiting strategy and process for Weichert Financial Services. The primary emphasis will be on filling key sales roles within the Mortgage Company. This professional will be responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring high potential sales professionals qualified to serve as Mortgage Advisors. The Sales Recruiter will be expected to build robust pipelines and strong relationships with potential/passive candidates in order to expand the Company’s sales force on a long-term basis. The Sales Recruiter may also be asked to source candidates for staff and temporary positions as needed.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provides strategic direction and oversight to the Company’s sales function. Develops annual sales plan in support of the Company’s strategy and objectives.
Implement and manage a uniform set of pre-sales activities and sales best practices to be used by MLO’s across all regions and offices.
Partners with Residential Sales Leadership, RVP’s and Sales Managers, to ensure effective and coordinated one company sales initiatives.
Interviews, hires, and manages Mortgage Loan Managers (MLMs) and Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) to maintain full coverage within each region.
Provides ongoing sales training to include product, service and sales skills.
Monitors mortgage pipelines, call volume, in-person customer meetings, rate locks, and closing volume on a daily basis to make sure all MLMs and MLOs are meeting their respective call/contact quotas, new business goals, quality standards and closing budgets.
Ensures MLOs meet and maintain proper licenses in the states in which they conduct business.
Monitors regions to ensure that they are in full compliance with all Company policies and procedures, and all federal and state law and regulations, including mortgage loan origination law and regulations.
Responsible for quality control over all mortgage loan submissions.
Works with senior management to make sure all strategies are being employed that support maximum sales results.
Manages response to customer inquiries and resolution of customer complaints and problems.
Monitors each region’s relationships with new and current customers, as well as sources of business, including realtors, builders and attorneys.
Reports and communicates performance and sales to senior management.
Sets and monitors monthly, as well as annual opportunity and sales goals for each region.
Develops a written sales and marketing plan with each MLM and MLO in accordance with the Company's guidelines and goals.
Performs monthly one-on-one management/coaching sessions with each MLM, reviewing sales activity, and sales and marketing results from the previous month.
Facilitates delivery of mortgage products and services to prospective borrowers.
Meets with operations management to assure timely processing of loan applications, identify problem areas and initiate solutions.
Provides performance reviews and take corrective disciplinary action, including termination action in accordance with Company policy.
Recruits to maintain adequate coverage in all regions, and, when necessary, to expand.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Three (3) or more years of full cycle recruiting experience required
Previous sales recruiting experience within Mortgage Banking or Financial Services strongly preferred
Experience in the Mortgage/Financial industry a plus but not required
Previous experience with applicant tracking systems preferred
Advanced knowledge of LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, Monster, and other recruiting sources
Ability to source passive candidates
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
Excellent customer service and follow up skills
Strong oral and written communications skills
Strong project management and negotiation skills
Ability to multi-task and problem solve with minimal direction
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions
Knowledge and ability to use typical office equipment (PC, calculator, fax machine, etc.)
