Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Medical Laboratory Scientist I for our Atlantic Consolidated Lab in Morris Plains for the Core Lab to work day shifts including weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities of Position:
Perform lab testing in the Core Lab and report results according to SOP
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment
Perform quality control tasks and maintain laboratory documentation according to SOP
Maintain and manage laboratory supplies
Provide laboratory information to others on the patient care team
Qualifications
Minimum Education Required:
BS degree in Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology
ASCP or equivalent Medical Laboratory Scientist certification preferred
Minimum Experience Required:
Experience in Hematology and/or Chemistry Departments preferred
