Riverview, LLP Farmworkers / Laborers in Morris, Minnesota

Need 95 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers / Laborers to work in Stevens, Grant, Swift, Traverse, Chippewa, Grant, Stevens, and Kandiyohi Counties in Minnesota. From: 03/01/2024 to 12/15/2024 Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon.-Sat. 8 hrs./day As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Must Apply By: 07/24/2024 JOB DUTIES: Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, manure application, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; Plant crops, trees, or other plants; Load agricultural products such as crops, animals, equipment into trucks, and drive trucks to storage facilities in close proximity to the farm; Harvest agricultural products; Operate farming equipment; Maintain agricultural equipment; Repair, fashion, maintain farm buildings, fences, and other agricultural structures on Riverview land to protect commodities, equipment, livestock controlled by Riverview; Transport animals, crops, or equipment; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment.; Clean equipment or facilities; Prepare land for agricultural use; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems; Set up and operate irrigation equipment; Operate irrigation systems. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather or other unpredictable variables. Employer may, at the company's sole discretion, pay workers an hourly rate above the minimum required and/or offer a bonus to any seasonal worker employed pursuant to this job order depending on how many years of experience they have obtained by working for the employer or other factors such as work performance, skill, punctuality, licensing, training, prior work experience, etc. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience for the job duties listed; able to lift up to 75 lbs.; able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, and repetitive movements; possible random drug test after hire at no cost to worker: testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment; no minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
