West Virginia Employer Construction Inspector in Morgantown, West Virginia
The Construction Inspector will have an intermediate level of experience in construction inspection or a related field. This individual will be responsible for monitoring construction compliance and erosion and control measures, recording material quantities and project activities, and performing compaction testing at client sites. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor heavy construction sites to ensure that contractors remain compliant with the plans and specifications for the client. Document project activity with daily reports and photos to be filed daily. Record quantity of materials hauled and delivered to the job site. Monitor erosion and control measures. Perform material sampling and compaction testing with a nuclear gauge. Confirm, when applicable, state requirements for compliance/certification, report, and document deficiencies. Maintain company vehiclecleanliness,maintenance, and repairs. Meets utilization goal. Education and/or Experience: Associates or Bachelors Degree in engineering or related field preferred or a minimum of 1 year experience with construction observation, construction inspection, or construction supervision with large scale earth moving projects. Experience with compaction testing preferred. The Construction Inspector will use the internet to access timekeeping software to complete daily timekeeping and expense reports and to communicate using company email. This individual will also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Standard.
