Description The Division for Land-Grant Engagement at West Virginia University Research Corporation is currently accepting applications for an AmeriCorps Coordinator. About the Opportunity This position is responsible for guiding and monitoring the AmeriCorps component of Energy Express statewide summer program and to ensure grant compliance. What you'll do: Oversee all aspects of AmeriCorps member vetting and background checks.

Engage and maintain AmeriCorps alumni database and other individuals to assist with recruitment.

Develop AmeriCorps e-grant reports from entry through submission.

In conjunction with the program director, other state staff and the WVU Human Resources unit, develop AmeriCorps member selection materials, including screening, interview rating, and reference checks protocols.

Design, develop and deliver training sessions regarding AmeriCorps policies and provisions and for Energy Express AmeriCorps member selection policies and procedures.

Provide input and assist with the development of the AmeriCorps grant application, clarifications and annual amendments.

Design, develop and deliver technical assistance to county selection committees.

Draft program materials, grant narratives, and other communications, as needed.

Promote AmeriCorps national identity through the development and dissemination of various media types.

Develop, update and distribute AmeriCorps member application and review and revise program policies and materials to ensure compliance.

Review and revise program policies and materials as they relate to AmeriCorps policy updates.

Respond to requests from Commission for National and Community Service (CNCS) and Volunteer WV for information, reports, stories, professional presentations, and photos.

Address any questions or issues regarding the Segal Educational Award.

Compile data from Energy Express logs and summaries.

Complete and submit all required AmeriCorps reports, including progress reports and year end reports.

Create a variety of reports from the database and My AmeriCorps portal which are essential to the selection process and to track application status.

Serve as the designated site administrator for Energy Express to give formal approval to all entered data and maintain the data entry of all pertinent information of AmeriCorps members.

Actively participate in continuous improvement discussions and propose strategies for addressing program implementation challenges.

Develop, monitor and implement a comprehensive statewide recruitment plan.

Establish strong relationships with college and university career service, service-learning, minority and disability offices and other relevant faculty.

Monitor and maintain county applicant pools and member application processing via My AmeriCorps.
