Description

We are offering a role that entails payroll processing and related duties. The candidate will be working in our office located in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, in the United States. This role is in the telecom industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee payroll processing for multiple companies including importing time data from UKG.

• Update employee files including additions, terminations, and changes.

• Submit 401(k) files and record the accounting journal entries for each payroll.

• Provide project support for various payroll and accounting projects.

• Handle payroll in a multi-state environment for 200+ employees.

• Utilize Paychex and UKG in performing payroll tasks.

• Operate SAP in performing various accounting projects.

• Apply strong excel skills in various tasks.

• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role in the finance sector

• Proficiency in the use of Paychex for payroll processing

• Hands-on experience with journal entries in a financial setting

• Proficiency in the use of SAP for finance and accounting tasks

• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices

• High degree of professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information

• Excellent mathematical and numerical skills

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Good organizational and time-management abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Relevant certification or degree in finance or accounting is desirable.
