Morehead State University Database Research Analyst in Morehead, Kentucky
The Office of Planning, Performance & Effectiveness at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Database Research Analyst. The anticipated start date is October 16, 2024.Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town, nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. Morehead State University delivers a strong and affordable education for friendly, ambitious students who thrive in a student-focused learning environment defined by small class sizes and faculty committed to teaching and student success.RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilize data preparation and query applications to extract, compile, analyze, interpret, and communicate complex data-related issues clearly and succinctly to various audiences. Performs querying, data extraction, analysis and reporting on assigned data topics. Maintains, creates and enhances administrative support software. Responsible for completion of confidential detailed statistical and database reports for both internal and external agencies. Collaborates with stakeholders on data and technical needs. Responsibilities also include writing and maintaining technical and user documentation.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree and demonstrated technical expertise in Ellucian Colleague, SPSS, Tableau, Survey/Course Evaluation Applications (Qualtrics, SmartEvals, etc) or Microsoft Office Suite/Microsoft Office 365. Demonstrated organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Experience with analyzing and compiling data.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in a higher education environment.SPONSORSHIP: This position is not budgeted for Visa Sponsorship.
