Job Summary:

Provides legendary hospitality experiences by assisting guests with room reservations, activity reservations and offering information of the surrounding area. Exceeding our guest’s expectations is our primary responsibility. A consistently pleasant demeanor, attention to detail service, extensive phone and computer work is required.

You will assist the reservations manager in the distribution of office duties, workflow and manage phone volume. You will also help the reservation manager in the training and evaluation of new hires, in resolving guest complaints, and in booking and fulfilling group/tour contracts.

Job Responsibilities:

You must be committed to superior guest service and quality standards. As a team member of your department, you play a key role ensuring the team’s success and achievement of meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations.

  • Ensuring the Vail Resorts and Grand Teton Lodge Company Brand Standards are being followed in daily operations.

  • Assist with overseeing the reservation department with training and building a highly engaged and productive team.

  • Enter, change, and cancel reservations through phone and email requests for Jackson Lake Lodge, Colter Bay Village, Jenny Lake Lodge, Headwaters Lodge, and Cabins.

  • Supports Front Office/Reservations Supervisor in implementation and adherence to all directions and directives of the Grand Teton Lodge Company and reservations team

  • Helped with entering Tour Groups in V1 and being knowledgeable about tours/groups.

  • Responsible for assistance in managing the activity scheduler, inventory control, and management of third-party booking websites & their inventory.

  • Responsible for completing quality checks and reporting tasks to ensure the accuracy of the information in the system as well as the accuracy of the agent’s work.

  • Works closely with the Front Office/Reservations Supervisor, the front desk, activities desk, sales and accounting departments with tour and transient guest accounts alike

  • Responsible for resolving guest complaints and billing issues by having a thorough accounting understanding of credit card deposits/payments and check deposits/refunds

  • Become knowledgeable of room amenities, room rates, activities, and area features of 4 different lodging properties and act as the main training resource for agents.

  • Provide excellent guest service and be comfortable and sensitive in coaching agents in guest service

  • Attention to detailed and accurate computer/paperwork is necessary

  • Maintain a clean, organized and professional office

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

  • Previous reservations and/or customer service experience

  • Previous data processing or computer experience is required. Must be familiar with keyboard and data entry.

  • Strong verbal English

  • Ability to work closely with others and work as a member of the team is mandatory.

  • A pleasant and professional disposition is mandatory at all times. A willingness to help individuals unfamiliar with the area is required.

  • An excellent speaking voice and formal phone etiquette are necessary.

  • Ability to function under heavy pressure with constant phone use, to perform repetitive tasks, and to disperse the same information repeatedly required.

  • Ability to work closely with others and as a team member is mandatory.

  • Ability to support the directives and direction of the company and reservations team.

  • Previous supervising experience is preferred

The expected pay range is $18.75. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
