Elior North America Re-Buyer in Moosic, Pennsylvania

The Re-buyer analyses inventory data and works with the manufacturing and purchasing departments to determine and buy the materials needed to meet the production schedule. The re-buyer also helps develop Supply Chain solutions that achieve specific business and inventory objectives including management of inventory to meet financial goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews Master Production Schedule (MPS) for finished goods requirements

  • Review and Monitor Production Schedule to ensure materials are available for production

  • Review Material Requirement Planning Report (MRP)

  • Analysis the MRP for raw materials needed for products in upcoming menus – what to order, how much, when it is needed

  • Orders raw materials from predetermined vendor list

  • Involved in determining the amount of product to receive into the building

  • Coordinate the timing of delivery of materials

  • Expediting delivery of products when needed

  • Monitor inventory levels

  • Communicate potential shortages that may jeopardize schedule completion on a timely basis

  • Provide feedback when forecasting is not in sync with actual customer orders

  • Work with Purchasing & QA to improve quality of Products from Suppliers

  • Reduce or eliminate excess, out of code, or out of spec materials

  • Be involved in menu and operations planning process and communicate any potential material supply issues

  • Work with Menuing department to have excess inventory utilized more prior to expiration.

  • Review costs of materials and report discrepancies to purchasing

  • Participate in continuous improvement of manufacturing and control systems

  • Continued development of safety culture

COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to analysis data to interpret product and raw material data for finished product needs

  • Able to effectively communicate with internal customers

  • A strong knowledge of ERP systems and understanding of the implications of leveraging ERP systems effectively into the deployment/purchasing function.

  • Supply Chain components and overview, and cost per case measurements, scheduling, sourcing, and inventory strategies, and manufacturing platform and plant-specific constraints and opportunities.

  • Reliable due to needs of the company

  • Good understanding of inventory control

  • Detail oriented

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and

  • One (1) to - two (2) years of related experience

  • Candidates will be assessed on their verbal, quantitative, and Excel skills
