Job Description

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll discover impactful work that allows you to make a difference in the world. As a QC LIMS & Digitalization Specialist, you will join our QC LIMS & Digital team and play a vital role as a key user of the LIMS SQL and gLIMS (global LIMS) system. You will provide support to QC laboratories, as well as other Quality and Manufacturing departments.

Your main responsibilities will revolve around the implementation of the new Global LIMS system (Sample Manager - gLIMS) and digital projects. Some of your specific duties will include:

• Mapping the sample workflow to ensure efficient processes

• Leading the issuance of change control records, dedicated procedures, and work instructions when necessary

• Loading data into the system

• Training users on the LIMS system

• Continuously improving the system to enhance its performance and functionality

• Digitizing methods and other important documents

Additionally, as the site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SQL LIMS, you will be involved in activities such as:

• Managing static data related to materials, specifications, lot plans, and operations

• Evaluating the impact of changes and deviations and implementing action plans accordingly

• Conducting system audit trail checks during batch release

• Providing SME support to users

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Education

• A university degree or equivalent experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biomedical field, or an experienced high school diploma.

Experience

• Previous experience working with a LIMS system in a GMP & Compliance environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Proficiency in written and spoken English

• Basic IT knowledge of SQL, PMX, MES, SAP databases is a plus. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

• Strong attention to detail and precision

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

• Interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and effective communication
