KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Category Management Lead, IT Offshore & Managed Service Providers to join our Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SSP) organization.
Lead cross-functional teams through the development of overall category plans to satisfy business requirements, maximize value and mitigate risk to the firm working in close collaboration with key compliance departments (e.g. Legal, Independence, Risk and DSG); seek to expand category management scope & influence across the firm
Develop and maintain category baseline to understand current situation for addressable vendors and spend; baseline should inform the category sourcing plan, supplier disposition and contract remediation plan; identify and pursue cost savings opportunities, including but not limited to sourcing, demand management, standardization, process efficiencies, policy changes or make vs. buy

Develop and implement a vendor governance and management program for key supplier relationships to create sustained value and mitigate vendor risk; maintain 360 dashboards for designated suppliers and actively participate in business review meetings, identify, track and resolve business issues with respective business owners and encourage the use of preferred suppliers; coordinate and align buy and sell side objectives
Identify, map and support category aligned stakeholders; develop a prioritized communication and engagement strategy to ensure continuous communication, alignment of objectives, early involvement and sourcing sponsorship
Develop & execute strategic sourcing strategies balancing client / vendor relationships in collaboration with business partners; proactively champion transformational activities and support firm initiatives & ad-hoc special requirements; jointly develop and administer controls and suggest ways SSP can innovate to increase efficiency and enhance performance across the board, including operations and customer experience; educate business partners on SSP's Policy to increase awareness, promote compliance and mitigate risk to the firm, pursue expanded use and development of offshore resource capabilities; actively seek ways to shift tactical and low complexity work activities to offshore resources, support expanded use and deployment of procure-to-pay (P2P) solution to automate manual processes for spend in scope; actively seek and propose ways to adopt processes and tools used within the department
Minimum seven years of relevant strategic sourcing and category management and/or similar professional experience with relevant skills and experience; combination of management consulting & line role experience desired
BS/BA degree with relevant discipline required; MBA and other relevant degree /certification highly desirable
Strong comprehension of applicable regulatory requirements, data security, privacy and risk mitigation terms, along with a proven ability to lead, support and conduct successful negotiations
Demonstrated ability to support, lead and conduct successful negotiations
Experience with purchasing systems (P2P, CLMS, Spend Analytics / Reporting, e-RFP) and knowledgeable on other organizational and system interfaces; proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
Must be willing to travel to the Montvale campus on a regular basis
