Volt Workforce Solutions MNF Machine Operator I in Montrose, Colorado

Volt is immediately hiring MNF Machine Operator in Montrose, CO!

Primary Responsibilities:

Works with moderate work direction and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving. Worker will operate production machines to perform operations or produce parts. Sets up machines, loads raw material into machines, manually operates machines, and unloads finished product from machine. Works from written or verbal instructions and general operating procedures, which requires the application of some judgment and selectivity. Operator has control over product quality. Good mechanical aptitude and skills are required. Basic data entry and computer proficiency preferred. High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

Additional Job Description

Operate equipment following department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) Read and use basic measuring devices (micrometer, calipers, protractors, etc.) to ensure product meets specifications. Performs basic grinding and hardness testing on a variety of wheel specs Performs grinding, hardness testing, and may include gluing for all wheel types with guidance; requires sign-off by supervisor or designee. Select right tool for the job (shims, wheel) Recognize the difference in the core material Perform setup on machine for surface and Outside Diameter (OD) grinding without assistance Conduct 5S in work area daily Change out and indicate arbors on OD grinder Assisting with inventory as needed Performing other duties as required or directed

This is a Contract opportunity.

Schedule : 1st shift | 6 AM - 4:30 PM

Location: Montrose, CO

Duration: 12+ Months

Pay: $18/Hr. - $20/Hr.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
