Expert, Digital DevSecOps Architect
As part of the Enterprise Architecture organization, the Expert, Digital DevSecOps Architect is driven by understanding Software & Hardware Release Planning and utilizing technology to digitally transform the business. His/her focus is directed towards journey using leading technology to drive enhanced, streamlined, and automated designing, developing and deploying high standard applications. Further, he/she will define and drive best-in-class digital architecture principles focused on the CI-CT-CD-CM DevSecOps experience.
Build digital architectures
Leads digital transformation through a sound enterprise DevSecOps architecture practice and knowledge.
Defines the digital transformation journey by developing the digital vision, principles, strategy, operating model, and architecture by proactively contributing with think leadership and influences on DevSecOps Platform Architecture (JIRA, Git, SAST, DAST, IAST, MAST, SonarQube, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Perfecto, Selenium, Azure DevOps, Google DevOps, Mobile DevOps, Dynatrace, ELK, Docker, Kubernetes – Tools, Technologies, Standards and Guidelines.
Gets to understand CN’s business and information technology to translate it into a digital operating model and architecture to rapidly integrate new technologies to fuel digital transformation
Understands DevSecOps for Rapid Application Development, capability building and reuse from applications standpoint. Enabling standardized and highly reusable pipelines for DevSecOps standalone, web and backend applications.
Identifies application areas that could be improved with DevSecOps.
Focuses on the architecture as a whole while peer architects deal with the individual parts of the architecture
Puts in place best-in-class digital architecture processes for designing large scale and sophisticated DevSecOps applications characterized by high throughput; high availability; resilience; security and data consistency.
Works with peer architects, to produce and maintain appropriate relationships between business, information, application, technology and solution architects to build best of class DevSecOps Platforms, Architecture and Processes leveraging existing I&T Core architecture Platform e.g API-First, Cloud–First and Mobile-First.
Excellent expertise and knowledge to help CN adopt DevSecOps specific technology capabilities while improving existing Software & Hardware Development Lifecycle.
Ample knowledge of DevSecOps utilities like JIRA, Git, SAST, DAST, IAST, MAST, SonarQube, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Perfecto, Selenium, Azure DevOps, Google DevOps, Mobile DevOps, Dynatrace, ELK Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus.
Ensures alignment with corporate information standards and policies, as well as all areas of enterprise architecture
Provides practical advice and best practices about digital architecture, DevSecOps evolution and changes community standards
Stays current on major disruptive technology and non-technology trends
Provides key input on technologies at CN to drive digital transformation
Works with peer architects, providing guidance on a comprehensive governance model to ensure solutions are developed according to the defined digital architecture
Educates and explains how DevSecOps digital architecture aids in achieving CN’s business strategy and delivery of the expected business outcomes
Educates and explains the purpose, value and use of the various DevSecOps architecture patterns
Educates and influences I&T so everyone understands DevSecOps architecture strategy and outcomes
Is a champion for effective change
Communicates deliverables with software engineering and supports the development of solutions
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study (such as library science), or equivalent related project experience.
Excellent knowledge and practitioner of DevSecOps Platform, Architecture Design, Development and Deployment, Agile Design Thinking and DevSecOps.
Uses collaborative design to focus on the overall DevSecOps journey.
In-depth experience developing a digital vision, principles, strategy, operating model, and architecture.
Extensive understanding of the development standards. Ability to research, interpret, and articulate when DevSecOps Cloud vs. On-premise development and deployment make sense.
Demonstrated capability to understand complex business operations and needs and how they are linked to technological solutions that provide practical business value
Significant and proven experience in applying a structured approach to problem resolution
Ability to derive technical requirements from vaguely formulated business needs
Strong analytical and conceptual skills for Java/.Net/Mobile/Kafka/Spring Boot builds
Strong communication skills – ability to create material for a variety of stakeholders.
Motivated by speed, short-term results while remaining in line with the digital vision and architecture
Knowledge of best practices and latest trends in DevSecOps architecture and technologies (JIRA, Git, SAST, DAST, IAST, MAST, SonarQube, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Perfecto, Selenium, Azure DevOps, Google DevOps, Mobile DevOps, Dynatrace, ELK, Kubernetes, Docker)
10 years experience in various architecture and hands-on roles, with recent experience in Cloud & On-premise DevSecOps Frameworks, CI-CT-CD-CM-CS Software tools.
Familiarity with modeling tools such Sparx Enterprise Architect
Knowledge of rail, transportation or logistics industry
