Randstad US Administrateur de paie / Payroll Administrator in Montreal, Quebec

The Payroll Administrator will manage the weekly payroll process, including related reporting, process documentation, and optimization efforts while supporting the overall responsibilities of the Manager.

This role ensures timely, accurate, and complete payroll processing for Randstad Canada, balancing business facilitation with customer satisfaction and enhancing operating working capital.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Compile employee time from time sheets.

  • Review time sheets in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.

  • Prepare and balance period-end reports.

  • Process employee records of employment.

  • Issue and record adjustments to pay for previous errors or retroactive increases.

  • Keep informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.

  • Provide excellent customer service to the field on any inquiries from temporary employees.

  • Document all existing procedures and processes

  • Research and resolve operational issues presented by the internal staff and field personnel

  • Conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities, as assigned or required by the department leadership

Qualifications

  • Canadian Payroll Association Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in payroll with high volume and hourly pay

  • Experience processing multi-province payroll (including Quebec)

  • Solid understanding of payroll systems, labour & fiscal legislation

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, JDE Oracle, and payroll systems

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR, or Accounting preferred but not required

  • Knowledge of Randstad operations and systems is an asset

  • French written and verbal communication skills an asset

L'administrateur de la paie gérera le processus de paie hebdomadaire, y compris les rapports connexes, la documentation du processus et les efforts d'optimisation, tout en soutenant les responsabilités globales du gestionnaire.

Le titulaire de ce poste veille à ce que le traitement de la paie pour Randstad Canada se fasse en temps voulu, de manière précise et complète, en conciliant la facilitation des affaires avec la satisfaction des clients et l'amélioration du fonds de roulement opérationnel.

Tâches et responsabilités:

  • Compiler les heures de travail des employés à partir des feuilles de temps.

  • Examiner les feuilles de temps afin de détecter et de réconcilier les écarts de paie.

  • Préparer et équilibrer les rapports de fin de période.

  • Traiter les dossiers d'emploi des employés.

  • Délivrer et enregistrer les ajustements de salaire pour les erreurs antérieures ou les augmentations rétroactives.

  • Se tenir informé des changements dans les lois sur les impôts et les déductions qui s'appliquent au processus de paie.

  • Fournir un excellent service à la clientèle sur le terrain pour toute demande de renseignements émanant d'employés temporaires.

  • Documenter toutes les procédures et tous les processus existants.

  • Rechercher et résoudre les problèmes opérationnels présentés par le personnel interne et le personnel de terrain.

  • Effectuer toutes les tâches générales, les projets spécifiques et les responsabilités, tels que assignés ou requis par la direction du département.

Qualifications

  • Certification de praticien en conformité de la paie (PCP) de l'Association canadienne de la paie, de préférence

  • Minimum de 2 ans d'expérience dans le domaine de la paie avec un volume élevé et une rémunération à l'heure

  • Expérience du traitement de la paie dans plusieurs provinces (y compris le Québec)

  • Solide compréhension des systèmes de paie, de la législation du travail et de la législation fiscale

  • Compétences avancées en Microsoft Excel, JDE Oracle et systèmes de paie

  • Baccalauréat en administration des affaires, en ressources humaines ou en comptabilité (préférable mais non obligatoire)

  • La connaissance des opérations et des systèmes de Randstad est un atout.

  • Compétences en communication écrite et orale en français, un atout
