Senior Customer Development Manager, Upper Respiratory, Digestive Health, and Zarbee’s – Target
Drive the omni sales growth with Target and actively develop and execute customer strategies.
This position reports to the Director, Customer Development, and is based in Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, IL, Rogers, AR, or Fort Washington, PA. Remote work options may be considered on a case-by-case basis if approved by the Company.

What You Will Do
This critical role will help drive Omni sales growth with Target and is actively involved in the development and execution of customer strategies to grow share in the category and market. The Sr. Customer Development Manager is accountable to develop and execute strategies and tactics that align with customer strategies to deliver shipment forecast/business plan, consumption, and share goals. The Sr. CDM collaborates with both internal and external partners to deliver mutually profitable business plans. The Sr. CDM develops and maintains relationships at the customer level to drive growth through key category platforms and initiatives. In addition, this role is responsible for new item execution including speed to market targets, shipment forecast and consumption goals within assigned area. The Sr CDM also manages trade funds within budget and analyzes promotional spending to maximize ROI. The incumbent participates in special projects as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Implements 4P's (product, placement, promotion, and pricing) business tactics that align with brand strategies and meet customer needs.
Negotiates and delivers annual Joint Business Plan (JBP). Develops effective strategies for addressing gaps to JBP sales and margin plans.
Manages trade budget for assigned area including Lynx, returns, displays, and other promotional efforts.
Achieves forecast accuracy by working with CPFR partners, customer strategy, and Target.
Troubleshoots orders, provides status to customers, and seeks to resolve all logistical issues and challenges.
Collaborates with finance, supply chain, brand and customer strategy, and trade customization to develop and implement strategies to profitably grow share at Target.
Acts in the role of the primary point of contact for a category or categories with the customer and meets frequently with buyers to discuss tactical matters such as progress to goals, promotional initiatives, issues, and competitive threats.
Executes new product launches and provides promotional materials appropriate for the assigned customer(s).
Conducts analysis to assess the effectiveness of promotional activities and strategies.
Utilizes syndicated and customer data to incorporate into sales plans.
Tailors customer and product group-specific sales presentations to gain support for recommendations.
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
A minimum of a BA/BS is required.
A minimum of 6 years prior consumer sales-related experience is required.
Broad experience across sales, operations, trade, and category roles is preferred.
Ability to interpret and communicate complex business data.
Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively.
Syndicated data experience required.
Sales experience working with a top-ten retailer (i.e. Walgreens, Walmart, Target, CVS) preferred.
Demonstrated ability to build strong business relationships.
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, complex matrix environment.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $113,000 to $195,500.
