Warehouse Lead

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for the daily operation of all warehouse activities. The Warehouse Lead ensures that all employees and activities are operating within designated safety standards, as well as making sure that all stock is received, shipped and processed in accordance with proper procedures. Other duties include processing and requisitioning supplies; delivering, processing, and packaging merchandise for shipment; and assisting with any necessary security measures.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:

  • Train, schedule, and coordinate warehouse team members.

  • Ensure that all work is conducted in the proper manner and per operating procedures.

  • Review, resolve and possibly escalate personnel complaints and grievances

  • Ensure compliance with appropriate company human resources policies and procedures.

  • Ensure that safety protocols are followed by warehouse staff.

  • Assist to complete operating metrics.

  • Author and keep current written operating procedures.

  • Assist with inventory cycle counts.

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment.

  • Respond to warehouse related inquiries

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • The employee may occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to operate warehouse vehicles and hand tools

  • Employee may be exposed to changing temperatures, dust, fumes, and gases.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong computer skills and facility with Word and Excel

  • Industry knowledge is a strong plus

  • Attention to detail

  • Results driven

    Education and Experience:

  • Minimally requires a high school diploma or equivalent

  • I ndustry experience in Warehousing
