The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a Sr. Account Director in our Group Protection sales and distribution team to support Dental and Vision in a remote environment.

Background Details

As a Sr. Account Director, Group Protection Dental & Vision, you will be responsible for the development and execution of a sales enablement strategy to provide relevant product knowledge to employees across the organization, being a dental and vision subject matter expert. You will be responsible for identifying and executing on opportunities to support the acquisition of new employer groups with Dental and Vision product offerings and services, enabling products to be ready for distribution and for market consumption through the creation of product positioning, market messaging, partnering on sales friendly tools, and attending finalist meetings as the product SME as needed.

What you'll be doing

  • You will maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.

  • You will develop business on behalf of the Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) in a manner that supports a positive company image, in compliance with all required rules and regulations and ethical in all considerations.   • You will manage the oversight and leadership of Group Protection business partnerships, internal and external, related to the dental/vision market.

  • You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper processing of all sold products from time of sale to issuance.

  • You will bring a comprehensive view of group industry with specific expertise in the dental and vision arena.

  • You will implement strategies to lead the GP distribution team into an informed direction and differentiate us in the dental/vision marketplace.

  • You will manage a distribution channel and implement strategic direction on how to best penetrate given channels (i.e. benefit broker, etc.) to ensure maximum growth of the dental/vision business. You will provide strategic leadership for best deployment strategies of the distribution team and drives the strategy to have a dental/vision sales process most effectively.

  • You will direct the identification and implementation of process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality. In addition, you will identify and implement process improvement opportunities for dental/vision distribution strategies.

  • You will manage bottom line profitability for Group Protection; continual focus on resource maximization (people, technology, budget, process re-engineering) to significantly grow the dental/vision business.

  • You will partner with Group Product Organization on the development of products, product enhancements, feeding competitive intelligence and market feedback.

  • You will foster a collaborative working relationship with GP operational areas including Underwriting, Customer Operations, Administrative Risk Services, Actuary, and Product.

  • You will partner with the Group Office Regional Director and Director of Relationship Management to maximize sales, profitability, and overall business relation.

What we’re looking for

Must-have experience (Required):

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)

  • 7+ Years of industry/management experience with responsibility for leading a significant line of business

  • Strong knowledge of Group Protection products, particularly Dental, Vision and Supplemental Health products

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 25%

Pay Range: $215,000- $480,000

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
