This | | role plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials | | and supplies to our construction projects by efficiently sourcing, | | purchasing, and expediting materials at competitive prices. | | | | Key Responsibilities | | | | - Research, identify, and qualify potential vendors and suppliers | | for construction materials, equipment, and services. | | - Solicit quotes, negotiate pricing and terms with vendors, and | | secure the best possible deals for the company. | | - Prepare and issue purchase orders according to company | | procedures. | | - Track purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and ensure materials | | arrive on-site according to project timelines. | | - Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including | | quotes, invoices, and contracts. | | - Manage vendor relationships, building strong communication and | | collaboration. | | - Research and stay informed about market trends and fluctuations | | in material costs. | | - Assist with inventory management for construction materials and | | supplies (may vary by company size). | | - May be involved in the select on and procurement of | | subcontractors (depending on company size). | | - Perform other procurement-related tasks as assigned. | | - Requirements: | | - Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain | | Management, or a related field (preferred), or minimum 3-5 years | | of experience in a construction purchasing role. | | - Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and | | procurement processes. | | - Excellent negotiation and communication skills. | | - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and | | construction project management software (a plus). | | - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. | | - Excellent organizational and time management skills. | | - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a | | fast-paced environment. | | - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. | | - Familiarity with construction contracts and purchasing best | | practices (a plus). | | - Benefits | | - Medical | | - Dental | | - Vision | | - 401K | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
