Job Description

* Responsible for electrical planning and design work for substantial multi-phase new construction, renovation, and improvement projects for a variety of real property facilities.

* Utilizes a professional knowledge of electrical, standard engineering theory and techniques, and Air Force/DOD codes and regulations to perform requirements determinations, technical assistance, and conventional design work.

* Supports electrical projects during construction, including coordinating answers to requests for information, change orders, and solving problems that arise in the field.

* Verifies that programming, design requirements, and funding coordination is complete for each phase of a project.

* Consulting engineer for electrical related design aspects of assigned projects. Provides professional consultations on a broad range of difficult electrical engineering issues and problems, and advice to requesting organizations.

* Assist in determining requirements, assembling requirements document, attending RFP/Design charrettes and the RFP/Design processes.

* Engages Engineering Support personnel for computer aided design and drafting (CADD) and for sketch production using GIS.

* Promotes sustainable design and development principles in professional activities.

* Serves as electrical engineer-of-record for design documents and reports covering electrical systems.

* Supports and participates in the company safety program.

* Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited university.

* Minimum of seven (7) years commercial (non-residential) project experience including at least five (5) years' experience in a project lead role.

* Minimum two years of public/governmental organization experience.

* Must have experience using Microsoft Office applications. - Prior Military null
