JOB SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily shipping operations, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and on time. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team, coordinate with various departments, and maintain high standards of efficiency and accuracy. The Shipping Supervisor will also be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, managing shipping documentation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This position demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in shipping and logistics, with a deep understanding of shipping processes and best practices. They will also be adept at problem-solving and able to handle any issues that arise in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership and operational direction to a group of hourly non-exempt employees.

  • Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Assures that all employees follow company policies, procedures, and established work instructions.

  • Review daily shipment requirement, ensure on-time delivery

  • Anticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate actions to meet schedules. •

  • Reviews bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

  • Manage and control the finished product in warehouses.

  • Coordinate the logistics movements and services that are needed internally.

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock for shipping needs.

  • Request support from the corresponding department when any load unit (forklift) has a fault.

  • Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.

  • Conducts housekeeping inspections, constantly monitors work area for cleanliness.

  • Identify areas for improvement/change, involve team members in the improvement/change process, and monitor the effectiveness of the improvement/change.

  • Escalation point with transport providers.

  • Track and report on shipping metrics and performance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering or equivalent required

  • 3-5 years’ experience with production supervision of shipping and logistic area (Logistic, transportation, production programs, receipt and shipments)

  • able to maintain basic english conversations

  • Knowledge about CTPAT.
