Core Responsibilities
The LEGO Business Service Operations (BSO) is a shared service center that delivers HR and Finance services to the entire LEGO Group from 3 primary locations: Monterrey, Kladno and Singapore and other satellite offices. The purpose of the BSO is to create an effective and efficient platform for growth and to support The LEGO Group strategy.
You will be responsible in ensuring all the daily transactional tasks are completed on time.
Primary tasks include:
Daily Payment Posting
Daily report on unallocated funds
Proper documentation of Payment Advice from Collection Team
Raise query on unclear allocation or deviation from remittance advice.
Clearing/Maintaining/Offset Credit Note against Debit amount in Account.
Cheque Processing (prepare bank slip and arrange courier etc)
Reconciliation of GLs (AR related)
Payment/Credit Transfer – moving payments/documents between accounts.
Booking of Doubtful Debts
Booking of Write Offs
Month end Closing Activities
Audit Confirmation - supporting auditor's requests for Subsequent Receipts
Your Accountabilities and Responsibilities include:
Initiate and lead enhancement activities for posting and clearing accuracy thus improving efficiency and productivity for the region.
Find opportunities to automate the processes.
Ensuring the payment posting of your Markets are meeting the critical metrics.
Completing optimization initiatives within own functional areas and ensuring compliance of company policies and procedures

To support the LEGO Group with consistent, high quality and customer-oriented execution of AR processes and partner management, and thereby enable the BSO to succeed in delivering great value to the LEGO organization.
The Senior Accountant plays an important role in establishing a sustainable AR department in the BSO. We need employees, all eager to engage actively in building an impactful department, valuing collaboration, process excellence, quality, and fun in the everyday life.
Do you have what it takes?
App. 5+ years of demonstrated working experience from Finance function and preferably experience in international accounting.
Experience of working and driving a highly collaborative environment in a global setting, promoting coherence and the end-to-end perspective.
Has significant business and market understanding (experience) both at operational and tactical level.
Personal drive and initiative, excellent collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with assigned business areas or other key partners.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve desired outcome.
Good influencing skill to garner partner’s support
Good Crisis Management and able to contain issues effectively with good Problem-Solving skill.
Confidence in making informed and justifiable decisions for own functional area.
