Job Summary:

The Engineer II will develop foundational skills and basic knowledge in a specialized practice area. This role involves applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks within broader assignments. The position requires limited judgment on work details and the application of standard methods for conventional tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Basic Design Tasks: Perform basic design or review tasks.

  • Task Assistance: Support tasks such as preparation of permit applications, material testing, drawings, and computer-aided design (CAD) work.

  • Independent Work: Review engineers should work independently on tasks and use discretion to elevate concerns before contacting the client.

  • Additional Duties: Execute other tasks as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficiency with electronic communication, including email and text, and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

  • Basic oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with other staff members.

    Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.

  • 1+ years of prior experience required.

    Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience producing drawings with CAD software.

    Additional Qualifications:

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
