Conduent Payroll Analyst II in Montego Bay, Jamaica

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participates in all activities end-to-end in the payroll cycle; Inputs data exceptions and updates to Human Resource or Payroll system for external clients in accordance with statutory and contractual obligations.

  • Has a thorough grasp of payroll concepts and interpretation of payroll data to be able to identify data anomalies and make corrections

  • Analyze variances and make corrections as required; participates in the validation and audit of payroll results and in making adjustments as needed based on exceptions on earnings/deduction results

  • Handles both verbal and written communication with client and payroll processing teams; reviews and respond to pay-related queries from internal and external sources

  • Participate in meetings in order to resolve payroll issues and provide feedback to supporting teams

  • Utilizes payroll tools to resolve payroll related issues

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Job Complexity

  • Associate or First degree in Accounting/Business Administration or related discipline (preferred)

  • Requires a minimum of 1 year working experience in payroll or related discipline or must show the ability to learn and master new concepts easily

  • Medium to Advanced Competency in MS Office applications especially in MS Excel

  • Works on problems of moderate scope with some supervision and utilizes knowledge of subject area to resolve

  • Requires minimal supervision, works on routine tasks once general instructions are provided.
