Robert Half Staff Accountant in Monroeville, Pennsylvania

Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join an organization near Monroeville, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks such as processing accounts payable transactions, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and maintaining an organized filing system.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process vendor invoices by verifying them against purchase orders and receiving reports

• Regularly review and enter bank transactions into the general ledger

• Handle the processing and approval of invoice payments via various methods such as check, credit card, and wire/ACH

• Perform diligent balance sheet account reconciliations including bank reconciliations, corporate credit cards, line of credit, and other general ledger accounts as required

• Conduct month-end and year-end account reconciliations and organize working papers for auditor review

• Develop and maintain an organized filing system for all accounts, statements, and transactions

• Perform additional accounting duties as necessary

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP to deliver quality results.

Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger maintenance.

• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries accurately.

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial information.

• Willingness to continuously improve and update accounting knowledge and skills.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands.

• Commitment to ethical standards and compliance with laws and regulations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgments based on data.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.
