Job Description

CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy, a mail service pharmacyin the Monroeville area, has an opportunity available for afull time Medical Billing Representative. As a MedicalBilling Representative, you will ensure timely and accuratebilling for outstanding claims while demonstrating excellentcustomer service to patients, healthcare professionals andinsurance carriers. As part of the billing andreimbursement team, you will work in a fast paced andteam focused environment to ensure timely and accuratebilling to insurance providers.We will support you by offering all the tools and resourcesyou need to be successful in a collaborative team basedenvironment.The key responsibilities of the medical BillingRepresentative are:― Third party insurance claim billing associated with thedispensing medication and using the bill method requiredby the payer.― Transmit or submit claims (paper/electronic) toinsurance payors for reimbursement― Resolve insurance problems and patient issues thatmay have resulted from incorrect or incompleteinformation, therapy changes and pharmacy or shippingerrors― Maintaining supporting and chronological notes thatdetail action taken to resolve billing edits.― Maintain patient demographic and insuranceinformation and data collections systems, including all― billing reports, queues, or diversions according to payerand company policy guidelines― Research and respond to insurance companies andgovernmental payors regarding billing issues or relatedquestions by telephone, via the internet, and in writing.― Contact patients, physician's offices or insurancecarriers as needed in order to expedite billing claimsLocated in the Monroeville Facility, this opportunity alsoprovides free parking.

Required Qualifications

― Experience using Microsoft Office products’ specificallyExcel, Outlook and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

― Insurance billing or collections experience― Experience working in a healthcare reimbursementsystem― Effective customer service skills and experience thatshows ability to work in a team environment― Attention to detail― Ability to utilize analytical skills― Ability to communicate with clientele in a professionalmanner; both verbally and written

Education

― Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required.
