DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Science and Technology Polymer Research Chemist, in the Photochromics group at the Monroeville business and Technology Center, you will design and synthesize novel polymer resins for evaluation and commercialization for the next generation Transition product. You will work with a collective group of chemists across multiple disciplines advancing technology through science.

Key Responsibilities * Develop, synthesize, characterize, and evaluate polymer innovations. * Collaborate with team members and external partners. * Conduct and organize work to maximize productivity in the laboratory. * Achieve project milestones and communicate results through presentations and written reports * Pursue intellectual property protection for new technologies. * Lead with example in maintaining a safe, clean work area and a detailed laboratory notebook. * Be hands-on in the lab, involved in troubleshooting and scale-up and process improvements.

Qualifications * PhD in Polymer Chemistry, with 0-3 years of industry experience or equivalent post-doctoral work. * Knowledge of coatings chemistry * Experience with experimental design (DOE)
