In this role, you will be working inside a thriving and growing manufacturing facility that designs, tests, produces, and ships Door Closers, Door Controls, and Electromechanical Door Controls used in Hospitals, Schools, Churches, Sports Arenas, Hotels, and large Institutional buildings. Job Description & Qualifications :

Perform simple set-ups with instruction on Saw, Punch press, and drill press in Saw Cell. Operate Saw, punch press and drill presses to perform repetitive work while monitoring and checking parts for dimensional compliance.

Minimum requirements are as follows:

  • Comply with all plant safety regulations and company policies.

  • Comprehend the conditions of all equipment in work cell prior to start-up.

  • Ensure that parts are located and clamped properly prior to machining.

  • Ensure parts are loaded correctly for machining.

  • Ensure that machined parts are burr free prior to passing to next operation.

  • Ensure machined & washed parts are properly stacked in baskets, loaded on carts and moved to next operation at end of shift.

  • Perform periodic inspections of the machined parts throughout the process using necessary gauges per quality control requirements.

  • Must have a thorough understanding of the use of measuring instruments such as digital calipers, micrometers, simple plug gauges, thread gauges and snap gauges.

  • Must be capable of learning how to make the necessary adjustments to keep parts within specification.

  • Read and comprehend part drawing dimensions and specifications.

  • Follow all ISO procedures.

  • Perform and record required preventative maintenance tasks.

  • Check coolant and lube levels at the beginning of the shift each day. Add as needed.

  • Determine when tooling changes are needed and notifies set-up personnel immediately.

  • Follow all 5S requirements as it pertains to establishing and maintaining good housekeeping practices.

  • Other duties as assigned and required by the supervisor.

  • Candidate must be able to lift and/or move up to 40lbs.

  • Must be capable of learning how to use crane to move raw materials

    Employee will stay hire rate until completion and sign off of training matrix.
