Aerotek Production Operator - 2nd/3rd Shift in Monroe, Michigan

Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description

We are looking for Production Operators to assist with the extrusion process for plastic parts. Candidates will be responsible for running and monitoring machines, maintaining consistent production standards, and ensuring the quality of the products.

Responsibilities

  • Running and monitoring 10 machines at a time

  • Scooping powder out of large bins to keep the hoppers filled at each machine consistently

  • Cutting, weighing, and recording product and scrap as necessary

  • Trimming production parts as required

  • Preparing boxes and tubes for packaging and making labels

  • Properly packaging and storing parts and containers

  • Changing and setting up wind-up reels

  • Utilizing measuring tools including tape measure, calipers, and micrometers

  • Performing quality checks on each tube/part throughout the process

  • Moving finished material to inventory area using a push cart

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Experience operating a machine within a manufacturing/production environment OR extensive multitasking experience in fast food service

  • Familiarity with production standards and operating multiple machines

  • Ability to walk for the entire duration of the shift, averaging 6 miles per day

  • Experience with tape measure and basic hand tools

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with micrometers and calipers (preferred)

This is a Permanent position based out of Monroe, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45344.00 - $45344.00
