Walton County Board of Commissioners Customer Service Representative in Monroe, Georgia
DEPARTMENT: Water Department ENTRY SALARY: $17.23 per hour, plus prorated benefits JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing clerical and customer service support for department operations. Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; assists in resolving customer concerns and complaints. Sets up accounts and runs credit checks. Researches customer payment inquiries. Prepares a variety of regular and special reports. Handles returned checks. Posts payments. Runs reports. Balances credit card machine. Balances cash drawer and petty cash. Manages hydrant rentals. Notarizes documents. Sorts and distributes mail. Maintains office supply inventory; reorders as needed. Performs related duties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
