Our Quad Cities manufacturing client is hiring an VP of Finance / Controller. This direct hire opportunity will be very attractive to someone who is great at leadership, managing through people and cost accounting. Be the right hand to the President, dig into the root cause on issues and lead. Involvement in month end close, coordinating with other departments and pushing orders out the door. Data extraction and analysis, trend calculations and communication out. Planning and forecasting, budgeting and reporting.

This person will be the SME on the SAP system and be able to drive the streamlining for reporting out of the system. SAP is not required but owning a system in the past is!! There is so much variety to this position that no two days will be the same. Be involved in data analytics and ad hoc reporting. BS in accounting, CPA, CMA or MBA is preferred plus above-average Excel skills, self-starter who is naturally curious required.

Requirements

• High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

• Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

• Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

• Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

• ERP system experience

• Knowledge of costing

• Analyze Variance experience

• Standard costs experience desired

• Deep understanding of month end closings

• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
