Additional teaching assignments may include vocal techniques for music education majors, vocal literature, vocal pedagogy, or other courses based on qualifications and experience. r rRANK & SALARY: Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track. For full benefit information visit: http://www.wiu.edu/vpas/human\_resources/benefits/. r rRequirements: r rREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in vocal performance or vocal pedagogy plus 30 additional graduate hours beyond the master's degree. r rPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate in vocal performance or vocal pedagogy. Soprano or mezzo-soprano preferred; all voice types considered. Demonstrated performance experience as a solo artist in recital, chamber, oratorio, and operatic literature. Demonstrated experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds and experiences at the university level. Functional piano skills. r rFor a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body).
