General Information & Responsibilities

Black College seeks adjunct/part-time Instructors for the GED program. Instructor will provide appropriate classroom instruction to prepare students for the tests to earn a GED.

Openings available at the Adult Learning Center located in Rock Island, IL and the Outreach Center in East Moline, IL.

Review of applications will begin immediately.

Description of Duties

Faculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate lessons, assignments, or activities to enhance the students’ educational experience; evaluate students’ performance; maintain classroom records, equipment, and instructional materials.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree required. Teaching or training experience preferred.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum starting pay for Adult Education Adjunct Faculty (as of Fall 2023)

Bachelor's Degree = $24.27 per contact hour

Bachelor's +15 Degree = $26.30 per contact hour

Masters = $28.32 per contact hour
