Jackie Meza with Robert Half is recruiting for Staff Accountants for an innovative Manufacturing company. Candidates will need to be capable of rising to a variety of challenges while juggling multiple components of a fast-paced environment. In this Staff Accountant role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll be interested in this position if you want to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives

• Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

• Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on

• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

• Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

  Requirements - Bachelors / Honours Degree required

• Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Solid understanding of month end closings

• Expertise in Monthly Financial Statements

• Knowledgeable of ERP systems

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Detailed and have the ability work independently
