Description
OVERVIEW:
The Facilities Maintenance staff member will provide cleaning of the facility daily, and assist maintenance and repair of the physical facilities. This includes all building and utility infrastructure and grounds of Modesto Corps Red Shield Center.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide cleaning, maintenance, painting, and repair of the physical facilities of the Modesto Red Shield Center
Assist maintenance daily monitoring of all building facilities including street property, parking lot, and landscaped areas
Assist maintenance daily, and monitor all electrical, security, communication, and ventilation systems for the building
Responsible for monitoring garbage levels and ensuring functioning properly
Be among the respondents to report any incidents, chemical spills, and/or hazardous materials to management
Identify any needed repairs or special projects to plumbing, electrical, windows, or structures and report them to the Facilities Maintenance Lead
Maintain a consistently high level of efficiency in the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of the facilities
Document the upkeep and maintenance of all janitorial concerns
Report any equipment and supply needs to the Facilities Maintenance Lead
Maintain established daily operational routines that include janitorial services, trash pickup, upkeep, and ongoing repairs
Available and flexible to work all special events, particularly those held during the evenings and on weekends
Work with Pest Control Company to ensure areas are properly maintained
Responsible for upkeep, maintenance, and cleanliness of the janitorial closets and all janitorial storage areas in all the building. Be sure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use
Perform janitorial/maintenance duties as requested by the supervisor
Meet regularly with the Facilities Maintenance Lead and Management team to participate in setting priorities and recommendations for repairs, remodeling, and replacement of facilities and equipment
Check daily for any signs of graffiti or vandalism damage to the building
Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
21 years old (required)
Experience in maintenance (1 year required)
Have or be able to obtain a Lift Truck Safety Course certificate
California Driver's License (preferred)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Attention to detail, quality, and professionalism
Great communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
