Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in the Manufacturing industry, located in Modesto, California. As a Collections Specialist, you will primarily focus on deductions management, high volume customer claims, and the analysis of aging reports.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the collection of payments in a timely manner.

• Handle a high volume of customer claims and implement effective deductions management to resolve account discrepancies.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to conduct necessary calculations using formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.

• Analyze and interpret aging reports to identify outstanding invoices and formulate collection strategies.

• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures pertaining to collections.

• Regularly update and maintain accurate account records.

• Reconcile large account balances and manage the collection of payments.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of experience in a collections role within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including its advanced features.

• Proven experience in commercial collections, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the process.

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR), with a focus on minimizing overdue payments.

• Knowledge of handling deductions and resolving related discrepancies.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively deal with debtors.

• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions based on company policies.

• Strong organization skills to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks.
