Center for Human Services Clinic Coordinator in Modesto, California

[Providing behavioral health services is at the core of CHS work. We provide outpatient mental health and substance use treatment services at school sites and family resource centers throughout Stanislaus County. We also operate a Community Counseling Clinic, located at 2000 West Briggsmore Ave in Modesto. Clinic services include individual, couples, family and group counseling, funded through private pay and managed care insurance plans. Our clinic also operates a Practicum Training Program for Pre-Masters level students, where we provide quality clinical supervision and support as students gain valuable clinical experience.

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Clinic Manager, provides leadership and management support for Clinic day-to-day operations. Coordinates all aspects of the agencys Practicum Training Program for Pre-Masters Students. Reviews clinical documentation for approval. (If Full-Time, also provides direct counseling services, carrying a small caseload of clients.)

Completed Masters degree in Counseling/ Psychology or Social Work.

Has licensure through California BBS or in progress.

One to three years of supervision/management experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to think creatively and organize workflow.

Ability to establish priorities and timelines and to meet them.

Experience and ability to motivate and supervise staff.

Having a working knowledge of learning styles and awareness of cultural diversity issues.

Ability to handle crisis situations and decide appropriate course of action.

Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and positive manner.

Working knowledge of community resources.

Ability to work with a variety of people and situations.
