GRAND COUNTY Assistant Marketing Director in MOAB, Utah

*Assistant Marketing Director - (Social Media + Industry Partnerships) *

About the Position:

The Assistant Marketing Director performs a variety of technical, creative, and professional duties related to designing, updating, and managing the Moab Area Council social media channels. Additionally, this position supports the Economic Development Department through customer service and community building and engagement.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with creating, managing, and implementing a comprehensive marketing plan to increase quality visitation and support Grand County's local tourism economy.
  • Represent Grand County in domestic and international professional shows,
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the business community.
  • Maintains websites, distributes monthly e-newsletters, and manages social media accounts.
  • Collaborates with local businesses and attractions to help design content that will benefit Moab Area Travel Council.
  • Answer, tracks, and responds to routine calls and emails from visitors.
  • Creates and edits content for online marketing and social media campaigns.
  • Stay current on and attend Moab area events.
  • Monitor benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs.

  • Thorough knowledge:
    • All social media platforms
    • Current internet standards
    • Moab visitor attractions, services, and events
    • Marketing and branding objectives and content creation
    • General office practices

Qualifications:

  • Graduation with a bachelor's degree in marketing or related field; AND
  • Two (2) years of related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven track record of successful social media campaigns
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
