Position Overview:As a Project Coordinator at Pro Contracting, you will play a critical role in supporting our Project Manager to ensure that all construction projects are completed on time and within scope. This position offers a unique blend of administrative responsibilities (75%) and hands-on fieldwork (25%), making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday.
What Youll Do:
- Assist the Project Manager with project planning and execution by performing specific tasks as directed.
- Serve as the key liaison among project teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination for successful project completion.
- Track the progress of all assigned projects and maintain an updated, consolidated project timeline.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to meet routine construction support requirements, especially when Pro Contracting is operating in a General Contractor role.
- Manage field projects as assigned by the Project Manager, taking charge to ensure on-time and quality completion.
- Create CAD, 2-D technical drawings from verbal and sketch instructions to aid in the design and construction of products or structures.
- Proactively identify and communicate potential project issues to the Project Manager.
- Oversee specified bulk inventory, including establishing minimum order quantities and placing replenishment orders.
- Manage our warehousing facility at 1905 W. Havens, ensuring materials, parts, and equipment are organized and accessible.
- Secure necessary construction permits and handle 811 OneCalls for excavation requirements.
- Prepare and present reports as needed to support project oversight.
What Youll Bring:
- Education:A 2-year degree in construction management, technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:1-5 years of experience in a construction management role.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in CAD drafting is required.
