    Job Summary

  • The Biomedical Engineering Technician must have proven success in continued service of a diverse array of medical equipment, with the majority involvement with lower acuity equipment, and introductory knowledge of higher acuity devices.

  • In addition, the Biomedical Engineering technician must have some understanding of and working knowledge interconnected systems VLAN, isolated networks, and IT systems interfaces.

  • Some overnight travel may be necessary due to the nature of the job and training requirements.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Associate’s degree or military equivalent in electronics or biomedical equipment technology required.

  • Minimum of one year related experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment preferred.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • If performing position from an IA based facility the following is required:

  • Completion of Child & Dependent Adult Abuse for Iowa Mandatory Reporters course within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.

    Work Schedule

  • 7:30am-4:00pm, occas wknd/hol/call; 80hrs/2wks
